National Bank of Egypt – Wesal Branch (Solar Energy Project)
Client: National Bank of Egypt
Owner’s Consultant: Diaa Engineering Consultancy
Main Contractor: Acme Saico for Integrated Engineering Systems
In the solar energy project executed by our company for the National Bank of Egypt’s Wesal branch complex, we transformed the concept of an “unused rooftop” into a fully integrated power station serving three entire buildings (A, B, and C), turning the vision of sustainability into a tangible reality.
We began with a customized design that covered the rooftops with solar panels, strategically distributed to achieve maximum light yield. These were mounted on lightweight steel structures that ensured building safety while allowing unobstructed maintenance access. With the same speed and efficiency, our innovative solution extended to the external escalator connecting the buildings, which was transformed into a shaded walkway covered with solar panels—providing both shelter for users and clean energy for the internal network.
This project delivers more than just energy savings for the bank; it positions the institution as a pioneer in integrating sustainability into everyday customer experience. Employees and visitors alike interact directly with clean energy—whether through shaded walkways or solar-powered charging canopies—creating a living testament to the shared commitment of the Bank and our company to a greener, more sustainable future.
